What is a Telecourse?
A telecourse
is a course where all of the classes are offered by telephone. At the date and
time of the class, you call the phone number we give you, punch in a PIN code
and enter the virtual classroom. In the virtual classroom, you can hear
the instructor as well as all of your classmates. This allows for an interactive
lecture and discussion just as you would enjoy at a live event. Your workbook
and any other course materials are emailed to you prior to the call so that you
can follow along and take notes, again, just as you would in a live class. The
phone number you will be given has a (503) area code, local to Oregon. You are
responsible for any long distance charges so use a phone with a good long-distance
plan. At an average long-distance charge of 7 cents per minute, your hour-long
call will cost just over $4. No Travel Time or Expense An
advantage of telecourses is that you can participate from the comfort of your
own home or office. Avoid traffic, save on gas, mileage and parking, and preserve
your sanity! Participate from Any City Another advantage
is that you no longer have to be within traveling distance of our OHC classrooms
in Toronto to participate in one of our telecourses. Now you can join us from
any location in North America. You'll be able to mix, mingle and network with
colleagues from all across the continent! |
