Welcome! |
In
Gary Renard's very interesting book, The
Disappearance of the Universe, he talks about our
perception of time and how we tie negative emotions to
time. Sin is the past, guilt is the present, fear is the
future, and all of these are tied to the ego. |
 | Renard maintains that
it's only our perception of things that causes us to believe
in these emotions. Although he doesn't say it, it's why
hypnosis works so well. It changes our perception of the
world. Clients frequently say, "I don't know what's happened,
but I just feel different. Lighter. Easier. More in my power."
Think about the last time you had a discussion with a
sibling over something that happened when you were both young.
There's a good chance your take on the situation was very
different. Neither of you are right or wrong. It's just
perception.
Now that the days are longer, and the
light is brighter and clearer, give yourself the challenge to
look and see something in a new way each day. Change your
perception. Have fun with it and see where it takes you!

| Lessons from the Space "In Between" |
| by Dr. Georgina
Cannon | |

|
|
Apart from simple curiosity, the journey into past
lives is often awe-inspiring. As you explore one life
after the other, multiple lessons or revelations come to
the fore. One of these lessons is that there's always a
reason for being exactly who and where we
are.
But what about the time between the lives?
The middle of the sandwich, so to speak? The space in
between?
As far as I know, we spend a minimum of
18 months in this nurturing in-between time but it can
be years, even decades or centuries, before we return to
a new life.
The space between lives has many
functions. It's a resting time, a time of integration
and peace. Here, we absorb teachings from the
incarnation we just left, and heal by reconnecting with
our divine source. But it's also a time of choices. We
get to choose when we come into another life...or this
current life. And we get to choose who we are and who
shares our life.
Coming Back Quite
often, we decide on our own that we're ready for a new
adventure and a new round of teaching. Sometimes we need
to be encouraged by our guides.
I once regressed
a patient to a time between lives. He described himself
sitting on a chair near a door that was slightly ajar.
He knew somehow that moving through the door meant
beginning a new life that wouldn't be too comfortable,
and he didn't want to go. He stayed in his chair. Then
he felt the unseen hand of his guide gently tipping the
chair towards the door. He felt himself sliding off the
chair. The message was loving but clear: It's time for
you to go!
So, What's the Plan and the
Program? As we enter a new life, we always choose
one main lesson to learn, such as forgiveness or trust.
We then set up all the specific details of our lives to
give us perfect and ample opportunities to learn that
particular lesson. So the life you choose -- by yourself
or with help -- gives you the opportunity to learn this
lesson.
Curious? Start by asking yourself
questions about who you are. The answers can provide
clues as to why you're here and what your purpose is in
this lifetime. Allow yourself to go into a light trance,
connect with your heart and solar plexus, and ask:
- Why did I choose the body of a female (or male)?
- Why did I choose the parents I have?
- Why did I choose this skin colour?
- Why did I choose the strengths and weaknesses of
my physical body?
- Why did I choose this era to come into the world
again?
Helping Others We all want to
have a 'mission' or purpose in life that will make a
difference. Sometimes the reason for being here is not
about you, but about helping someone else learn his or
her lesson. For example, in his book Many Lives, Many
Masters, Dr. Brian Weiss describes a conversation he
had with the Master Spirits from the space between
lives. They told him that his son, who had died of a
congenital heart defect at just 23 days old, had chosen
to be born and to die to satisfy the karmic debts of his
parents. His death was his gift, given with great love.
How and whether you learn your life lesson is
good news-bad news. Your lesson presents itself over and
over again until it's learned. If you don't learn it in
this lifetime, guess what? You'll be sent back to do it
again. And usually the second or third time around is
tougher!
So really explore the recurring
patterns and situations in your life, ask questions and
listen to your heart. As Mom said, get it right the
first time and you won't have to do it again. Little did
she know how right she was!

I was a single parent, living in
Toronto with one son, and working full time at The
Canadian National Institute for the Blind as a
Social Worker. I'd always had perfect vision until
one day, while sitting at my desk, I was shocked
when my central vision started to blur in my left
eye. Over that day, my vision worsened, so much so
that before the day was over, I had an appointment
with the eye doctor. | The
tests showed nothing seriously wrong, nevertheless
within two days I could see only blackness through my
left eye. It was December 15, 1990 as I looked into the
mirror and said out loud, "What is happening to me?"
A friend suggested I get the tapes for You
Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay and listen to them
for three months. With real skepticism, I bought the
tapes and began listening to them each night. I started
paying attention to the thoughts and words I chose.
Prior to my vision loss, I remembered saying things like
"I don't want to 'see' this anymore," and "I can't do
this anymore."
I wondered, 'Have I created all
of this?'
'Yes,' I realized. I was responsible
for my vision loss!
I then realized that I could
manifest the power to heal myself. I researched hands-on
healing techniques and learned that placing my hands
over my eyes every night could provide a healing energy.
My thoughts had changed, and my vision was
returning gradually. Three months passed when I
suddenly, with no prior art lessons, began to skillfully
draw, first a blue heron, then an eagle, and other wild
birds. This urge to draw poured through me effortlessly
onto paper. Everything I sketched became alive on paper!
The more I sketched, the more my vision improved
until after two years my eyesight was fully restored.
Today, I am a commissioned artist living on
magical Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. The gift
in losing my vision was in truly learning to see.
